We at Kangaroo believe...

in people.
As people we are accountable for how we mold and shape our environment, the global environment and the immediate one at home or the office. And most of all, the close-in environment of self by the choices we make every moment, every day. We believe in the basic good intentions of ourselves and the people around us. And we encourage that in our work space, which includes our clients and suppliers. We believe that people should not be controlled by fear strategies, but empowered into personal greatness, contribution and service, where the million dollar question is “what can I give today?” This philosophy puts the onus on each and every one of us to continuously strive to progress and evolve on a personal and professional level so that we can each evolve our value proposition and contribution to the world; Each through our unique make-up and skill-set. When we make mistakes we do everything we can to understand the point of error and to correct it, and learn from it. We do not punish. When we say that at kangaroo we make things happen, its not a marketing tag line, its actually what we are happy to do. When its tough, it only gets us more engaged. We love making the impossible, possible.

in a values-driven work environment.
Its not a strategy, even not an ethic. Its a deep and fundamental foundation for us. Without values and meaning, what exactly are we doing?

in keeping it simple.
Lets not make things more complex then they need to be!

that EGOs should not rule the day.
Why would we want to let them? Egos are ruthless rulers that are willing to destruct in the name of personal recognition and attainment of external confirmation…think of the fame industry? At Kangaroo we consciously play down the ego in the creative process. We veer away from the ‘my baby’ syndrome and tend to look for ‘Win-Win relationships and collaboration opportunities that extract the best out of all the participants. Our internal decsion making methodologies involve consciousness and the awareness of the individual to their own psycology and driver during the discussions. We where our “function hats” as a service to our friends and the needs of the organization as a whole and we represent the view and responsibilities of that hat into the discussion.

the future can be better.
The Kangaroo philosophy has one underlying base assumption; that the world becomes better by the small incremental self improvements of individuals. Inherent in this idea is the paradigm that its not necessarily the ‘world out there’ that needs to change, but’ the world in here, in me’ that dose. Which brings us very swiftly to the understanding and concept of the circle of influence vs the circle of concern, which was coined by Steven Covey some 30 years ago. And we want to contribute to this vision with our talents, our constant strive for personal progress and our humane conduct.

in cultivating a positive attitude.
Considering the alternative, why would we go any other way? The first and foremost obligation of a person is to generate a positive disposition and attitude, which acts as a platform and basis from which we can respond to the challenges that life brings to us. We therefore chose to seek the best possible outcomes from any circumstance. There are no problems, only opportunities for solutions!
